This is a small serie that I took a few moths ago..
It's about the Dancing Devils of Yare, It's a tradition that is celebrated every year in this town of Venezuela.
More than journalism I tried to make a little more artistic pictures to show this event.
DANCER DEVILS OF YARE
The festivity of the Corpus Christi is a known celebration in Venezuela, popularly, through the magical-religious ritual of the Devils Dancers of Yare, that is celebrated since the 18th century in San Francisco of Yare, state Miranda.
The fraternity of Devils of this small colonial town is the oldest of the American continent and the most organized one. The more exciting of the day is to see the Devils to dance.
They dance along streets of the town, then they knelt in front of the church, remaining prostrated in sign of respect to God while the priest blesses them. The music and the dance continue while this people pay a religious promises becoming devils of red vestiments and colored masks.
